Our 321-bed specialty psychiatric hospital is accredited with exemplary status and includes extensive outpatient services and an internationally recognized mental health research facility, the Waypoint Research Institute. We are located on the shores of Georgian Bay and provide regional mental health and addiction services to the communities of Simcoe County, Muskoka, West Parry Sound and Dufferin Counties. Waypoint has the province’s only high secure forensic mental health hospital for the assessment, treatment and care of male patients with a serious mental health disorder who have come into contact with the law. We are also the lead organization in the North Simcoe Specialized Geriatric Service, which partners with numerous organizations across the region to delivery physical and mental health care to frail seniors and support for their caregivers.
