What We Do
Shift Collab is an umbrella organization comprised of three primary lines of business:
 
Shift Therapy – This is our group therapy practice; a team of likable and relatable therapists who help make mental health simple. Our group practice operates in-person, by phone, and virtually.
 
Shift People – This is our group training service, offering companies, organizations, and teams keynote talks, workshops, training, and intensives designed to make workplace mental health simple.
 
Shift Campus – This part of the business serves post-secondary institutions across North America, offering teaching and training for student and staff on-campus leadership, workshops, and modular courses on mental wellness, and mental health services, along with on-demand virtual therapy services.
 
Clinical Therapists At Shift
Clinical therapists at Shift are either Registered Social Workers (MSW RSW) or Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) who are passionate about working within an innovative group practice. Our clinicians value working as part of a team, appreciate the administrative and clinical support offered by our Care Coordination team, value ongoing professional development opportunities, enjoy participating in peer supervision groups, and are eager to grow a caseload that aligns with their specialty.

Requirements
  • Masters-level degree in Social Work or Psychotherapy; MSW RSW; RP or RP(Q) preferred;
  • Registered and in good standing with the provincial regulatory body in the province or provinces in which you provide services and the ability to practice independently with this designation (ie: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, Permit to practice psychotherapy with the Order of Psychologists in Quebec, etc);
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide clear and professional communication to our clients;
  • Knowledge of technology including the ability to quickly adapt to changes, learn new platforms and problem solve when challenges come up;
  • Access to reliable internet, private workspace, and secure technology;
  • Have up-to-date professional liability insurance or commit to having such insurance prior to your start date;
  • Have a willingness to learn and be comfortable in providing virtual therapy
  • Interested in growing within a supportive team of colleagues and aligns with our company values and mission to make mental health care simple, relatable, and accessible.
 
Assets
  • Bilingual (ie: speaking two or multiple languages-French, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog or Japanese) and combined competence in proficiently practicing psychotherapy in these languages;
  • Registered to practice across multiple provinces and territories;
  • Experience in working with a technology-based mental health solution or platform;
  • Have a minimum of 6 hours of availability per week, flexible depending on program involvement and availability, Friday evening and weekend hours required;
  • Experience in providing counselling or psychotherapy as part of a hospital, community, or private practice setting.
 
This is a remote, work-from-home position during the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon return to in-person work, the role will be located in Toronto, Ontario or in your own office in alternate locations across Canada.
