Quality Assurance Tester

Our Client is seeking a creative, energetic QA Tester to join their team.

Description: This role provides the opportunity to be a part of a top strategic area for the company, working closely with teams across the organization. They work in a deadline-driven environment, so the ability to prioritize tasks is critical. They are a small team, so a high degree of flexibility is required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with identification of test environment and test data requirements
• Develop test cases/scripts and associated project deliverables, execute test cases, scripts, defect tracking, verify readiness, conduct root cause analysis where appropriate
• Provide sign-off for responsible components
• Create test cases and test data
• Participate in test strategy, planning and closure deliverables
• Verify application test analysis and design deliverables
• Assist and advise on best practices for testing as well as make recommendations to improve efficiency and performance
• Participate in project planning and other project activities
• Meet with internal stakeholders to better understand and discuss requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum 2 years’ experience QA experience testing web on mobile and desktop
• Responsive site and WCAG accessibility test experience
• Understanding of front-end vs back-end technologies
• Understanding of browser debugging and console tools
• Experience working with automated test systems and scripts
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology
• Excellent English writing and communication skills
• Excellent organization skills – managing test data, test cases and reporting frequent updates to the product owners
• Have no problem facing tight deadlines on a daily basis
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills required to obtain commitment from cross-functional teams to support and deliver on priorities

• 2+ years in Quality Assurance
